    Since 2003, when designing team originating from Energoprojekt-Gliwice was incorporated into the organizational structure, our activity concentrates on design of electrical engineering and automatics systems. In order to tailor the offer to market requirements, design activity is carried out in three centres:

    Design centre for power supply units and energy distribution.

    The competencies of this centre cover design projects in:

    • source power supply and energy distribution (networks and electrical installations) of medium and low voltage;
    • transformer stations MV/LV;
    • medium and low voltage switchgears;
    • electric power engineering protection automatics systems in MV and LV networks;
    • metering and fiscal systems of electric energy;
    • support and guaranteed voltage systems of AC and DC;
    • automatics systems of SZR/PPZ voltage switching;
    • supervision systems over DC networks;
    • lighting and power installation;
    • cable management;
    • availability of devices;
    • preparation of assumptions and multi-industry coordination within range of its competencies;

    Design centre for power terminal systems.

    The competencies of this centre cover design projects in:

    • construction and modernization of power terminal systems from units of high, medium and low voltage, in the field of primary and secondary circuits;
    • power terminal systems and generators voltage control;
    • electric power engineering automatics generators protection systems, transformers and generator-transformer units;
    • systems of transformers voltage control;
    • synchronization systems;
    • metering systems;
    • events and interference recording and analysis systems;
    • modernization of electric control station and signaling-control panels;
    • SCADA control and supervision systems;
    • construction and modernization of electrical section for own and general needs of power plants and combined heat and power plants, including flue gas desulfurization, carburizing, ash disposal systems etc.;
    • cable management;
    • devices availability;
    • preparation of assumptions and multi-industry coordination within range of its competencies

    Design centre for electrical power substations.

    The competencies of this centre cover design projects in:

    • construction and modernization of stations 110kV/MV, both in the field of primary and secondary circuits;
    • systems of electric power engineering protection automatics of HV/MV stations, including feeder bays, transformers and couplers;
    • metering and fiscal systems of electric energy;
    • support circuits including support and guaranteed voltage systems;
    • remote control engineering and communications systems;
    • central and interference signaling systems, including SCADA;
    • cable management;
    • devices availability;
    • preparation of assumptions and multi-industry coordination within range of its competencies;
    • elaboration of documentation necessary for notification in Authorities;
    • elaboration of documentation necessary for obtaining a construction permit, including building permit design and representing the Investor in Authorities;

    The centres, depending of the Investor requirements specified in the contract, prepare conceptual designs, basic projects and detailed engineering designs. In particular cases, resulting from necessity of notifying the Authorities about planned works or obtaining a construction permit, adequate Investment documentation resulting from requirements of Building Law is prepared, covering construction design and engineering documentation. Notwithstanding the foregoing, calculations and analysis of networks are also performed for proper selection of devices and calculation of protection settings.

    Team of engineering advisors.

    Team of engineering advisors operates within the structure of Designing and Analysis Department. Primary purpose of the Team is to support the centres with knowledge and experience, in the process of solving complex engineering and organizational issues resulting from current design projects, as well as training and development of professional designing personnel of Energotest. 

    The business range of this Team covers also:

    • elaboration of engineering analyses, including network analyses;
    • engineering consulting;
    • elaboration of concepts, studies, base projects for complex design tasks and investment projects;
    • verification of Department projects, in various phases of design;
    • preparation of bids;
    • carrying out author’s supervision;
    • maintaining relations with Energotest Customers

    Multi-industry cooperation.

    For design tasks requiring participation of specialists from other industries, we cooperate with outside design offices operating in the field of architecture and civil engineering, construction, sanitary and installation. We undertake cooperation with offices and designers having extensive experience in designing of industrial objects, particularly electric power engineering objects. Our company assumes responsibility for the overall project of the Customer, supervising the execution of the project and multi-industry coordination. We also take care of final quality and completeness of the project as far as its purpose is considered.

    Tools in the design process.

    At present, main tool supporting the work of our designers is Eplan Electric P8. Apart from Eplan, we also use 5.4 version of WSCAD, as well as SeeElektrical and AutoCad software. In addition to this software, in the design process and analyses performed by the Control and Analysis Department, various programs are applied for short-circuit calculations, choice of equipment, protection setting, spreading calculations in the scope of deliquescence of work and short-circuit current etc.
