The task of the auxiliary relays in the power industry is to quickly control the switching apparatus, store and signal states, duplicate states, switch signals for various automation functions, implement time relationships. The relay constructions offered by Energotest meet the requirements of PSE and all the standards in question. The relays use high quality components and a number of solutions that increase resistance to environmental sensors, in particular to vibrations, such as: minimizing weight, strengthening of the plug sockets in the housing, cushioning of the mounting.

TYPES OF RELAYS
Excluding - PW
PW cut-off (strong) relays are used in switching apparatus control circuits in the power industry. Available types:

PW-3 has 3 NO contacts (3Z) to control breaker(s) coils and one switchable auxiliary contact (1P) for signalling. The electrical outputs and the relay's plug are in accordance with the numbering adopted for RELPOL relays type R15-4P. The relay is characterized by high resistance to shock currents (450A), and a contact break of 1500V (partial separation). Designed to control inductive loads, equipped with an electric arc extinguishing system. It has an indicator (red LED) of voltage presence in the control circuit. Capacity of switching off circuits with constant L/R=40ms is 1A.
PWS-3 is an enriched version of PW-3 relay, it has a high-speed actuator with a tripping time in normal conditions of less than 3ms.
PWS-3/S is additionally equipped with a tripping indicator with magnetic memory, manually erased (additional supply voltage is required).
Signalling - PS
The PS signalling relays are designed to duplicate signals and to optically indicate tripping. They are manually reset (auxiliary voltage required). Tripping time < 3ms. Versions with the /Z option are also available to respond to control signal loss. The presence of the voltage is indicated by a red LED for relays operating from excitation and a green LED for relays operating from signal loss (option /Z).

Available types:

PS-3 with 3 switch contacts.
PS-5 with 5 contact contacts.
PS2-4 double with two pairs of change-over and NO or NC contacts for /Z option.
PS2-5 double with three pairs of NO contacts (one pair connected in parallel - from both input signals) or NC for /Z option, control coils separated.
PS2-6 double with three pairs of NO or NC contacts for /Z option, control coils with common minus.
Duplicating - PP
PP duplicate relays are used in control and protection circuits. Available types:

PP-4 Intermediate relay with four sets of contacts with forced switching (mechanically coupled contacts), essential for the implementation of automation requiring unambiguous position of all contacts. Full insulation (2kV) on open contacts allows to realize the automation of signal switching when appropriate insulation between sources (e.g. power supply switching) must be applied. User configurable colour of the signalling diode (red/green).
The PPS-6 Fast Relay (<3ms) has 6 NO contacts to duplicate signals in control systems, for recording events, disturbances etc. The gold plated contacts can be used in circuits with very low loads (0.05W).
Bistable - PBi
PBI bistable relays have two stable states and two control coils to set the relay to the appropriate state W (off) or Z (on). The current state of the relay is indicated in the inspection window. Voltage applied to both coils does not change the state of the relay. The presence of voltage on both coils is indicated by a yellow LED. Available types:

PBI-4 has 3 switchable contacts and one NO contact.
The PBI-8 has 8 changeover contacts.
PBI-12 has 12 change-over contacts, but due to the limitations of the contacts in the plug socket different configurations with up to 25 outputs are possible. Configuration to be agreed with the customer.
PBI-8 and PBI-12 relays designed for installation in two GZ14 sockets!

Time - PT
The PT-4 time relay performs the functions of tripping delay, waste delay, generator and pulse formation function. It is equipped with mechanical time settings, thanks to which the settings are visible in the absence of auxiliary voltage. At rest, it draws little power from the auxiliary voltage source (<1W). It has a high degree of reliability thanks to the use of a transformerless internal power supply. It has one change-over contact and one NO by duplicating the excitation signal (PP), and two change-over contacts that perform the selected time function. LEDs indicate the presence of auxiliary voltage, PP and PT relay excitation. The settings are made by means of a 3-digit adjuster (000-999) with a multiplier of 1ms, 10ms, 100ms, 1s, 10s, 100s.
